Duncan D. Walker III

Duncan Walker has been a partner of the firm since 1989. His practice consists of all types of transactional work, including commercial and residential real estate together with asset and stock sales and purchases. Duncan’s practice in the area of commercial real estate includes the documentation and coordination of commercial real estate acquisitions, pending, and subsequent sales. His real estate practice includes the preparation of contractual agreements, closing documents for purchases and sales, and the preparation, review, and approval of loan documentation for the acquisition, construction, and financing of office, retail, multi-family residential, senior living, student and industrial properties. Duncan also has extensive experience in office and retail leasing, providing assistance to landlords or tenants in the preparation of and advice concerning commercial and residential leases. Duncan has worked with developers through the various stages of zoning, land use, and licensure proceedings in the state, local and municipal areas.

Duncan’s commercial real estate experience began as an associate with the Atlanta law firm of Peterson Young Self & Asselin and continued when he returned to his place of birth in Macon, Georgia. He has closed transactions or advised clients in the development process throughout the State of Georgia and all of its contiguous states.

Duncan’s civic activities include serving on the Board of Directors for Idle Hour Country Club, President of the Macon Civic Club, President of Vine-Ingle Little League, President of the Middle Georgia Bulldog Club, and Co-Chair of the American Cancer Society Ball and Fundraiser. Duncan is a long-time member of Christ Episcopal Church in Macon and currently serves on its Vestry.
